Mom: Thomas told me he doesn't like to get wet. He doesn't want to be worn if he's just going to get pee pee on him.
Jeriah: It makes Thomas sad.
Mom: Yes. It makes Thomas sad to get all wet. So, he said when you go potty on the toilet then he'll be happy to be worn again.
Jeriah: Thomas is happy!
Mom: He will be when you go potty in the toilet. So be sure to put your potty in the toilet so you can wear Thomas again.
He went underwearless for about an hour, then I heard, "Uh oh! I have to go potty!" Then Jeriah jumped up, ran to the toilet, sat down, went potty, and said, "Mommy! I did it! Thomas is happy now!"
I was so giddy with happiness that it worked. I thought, "He's got it! Now we're getting somewhere." I do feel a little guilty for doing this to my son though, lying to him. It got results, once at least, and I guess you have to do whatever it takes to get them to go on the toilet, right?

If Thomas were real, he really wouldn't want someone peeing on him- I know I wouldn't if I were on the front of someone's underwear- so it's only half a lie.
Brillant!!!! I am SO IMPRESSED. Good job. Did I tell you about putting fruit loops in the toilet and having them aim? I heard that works for boys. But you rock, momma.
Thanks Angela! I've heard about that putting a cheerio or a fruit loop in the toilet thing, but Jeriah is still sitting down. When he begins to stand up then I'll most likely do the fruit loop thing. Although, he'd probably rather eat it than pee on it. :)
