First Ride

I found some ladies in our ward who are cyclists and they took me out for my first real ride on my new bike today. I can't tell you how awesome that was. We rode for about an hour, up and down and all around town. They were so helpful and kind to my inexperience, and went so far as to offer to ride with me every week. One lady even gave me her bike trailer for free so I can tote my kids around town!

I feel amazing. I feel so rejuvenated. This is most definitely the sport for me. The reward of feeling so energized after a really good ride is enough to make me want to ride every single day, challenge myself to make it up hills that are very difficult, and stay in really good shape so I can keep doing this.

I also can't say enough about the support I've gotten from Taylor. He's been so amazing while I've tried to get back in shape and get out of the house to ride my bike. I think he understands my need for this and has unselfishly taken over some household duties while I go do my thing. Thank you Taylor!

Glad to hear you've found something you love. It makes such a difference!

You'll love your bike trailer. We've got one, too, and the kids love going out in it.

Hi Kotryna,

I found your blog through Shea's. I'm excited to catch up. It is so cool that you are cycling! My husband and I are very into all things bike- we've ridden the MS150 a few years.

Anyway- your family is precious!
