Icky, Gross, Disgusting Ants

I looked out the window and what did I see...

...thousands of ants crawling all over our sidewalk.

Taylor was out taking pictures of them so I went out to get a closer look, which meant the kids wanted to come too. I know the picture below looks like we are bad parents letting Lukas come out and be so close to the ants in bare feet, but these ants stayed in this spot the entire time. They were busily crawling all over each other, for no apparent reason, and not roaming anywhere else. Taylor even touched them to see what would happen, and they didn't pay any attention to him. It was very odd.

I couldn't stand the thought of having so many ants so close to our house, so I had to kill them all. I know, I'm an ant murderer. But either I risk having them crawling all over my kids at some point in the future, or I strike first and beat them down.

Mother bear coming out in me, I suppose. Needless to say, they no longer exist in this realm.
