Last night Taylor and I decided to watch a movie. We put it on just after Jeriah went to bed. About halfway through the movie we had to take the DVD out and clean it and consequently it was pretty quiet for a few minutes. I heard a small bump inside the bathroom and looked at Taylor.
"What was that?"
"I didn't hear anything."
"I think it was Jeriah. Maybe he's been watching the movie."
"Our boys wouldn't do that."
I walked over to the bathroom and there was our 'perfect' little boy, standing just inside the door, patiently looking at his fingers and waiting for the movie to turn back on. He didn't even know I was watching him until I took his arm and started leading him back to his room. But even then, when he knew he was caught, he cried out, "NO NO! I need to SEE!" And when I put him in bed and covered him with his blankets and told him that if he got out of bed again he'd get in real big trouble, he said, "But I need to watch!"
I walked out of his room chuckling merrily to myself because, well... it's confession time. Mom, I used to sneak out of my room when I was a kid and secretly watch movies you and Dad watched while we were supposedly asleep. I guess this is payback for my behavior growing up.
At least we were watching something pretty kid friendly.

Well, I don't remember watching anything that wasn't kid friendly growing up. I was just happy WE were watching something kid friendly, because we didn't know who was watching it.
