Dirt and Plants

This house provided us with some old free wood that I decided needed to be put to good use. So, I built a little dirt box for the boys. This dirt box was to keep them out of my garden that was forthcoming (as you can see in these dirt box picts), and so far it seems to be working. Lukas is by far the most interested in dirt activities. I've found dirt in all the wrong places on this little boy. He's tried to see how it felt piled on top of his head - a few times. He has even walked away from that box with a dirt mustache, which told me he has been sampling the fare as well as playing with it.
Why do boys love dirt so much? I don't have a clue, but I'm sure glad we have some.
These next pictures are of our newly planted garden. I do have plants growing now, so I'll have to get some updated pictures on here at some point, but I was so proud of all the hard work Taylor and I put into this plot of land that I just had to take pictures. It was full of crabgrass and roots, and tilling it was an all day thing. I think my back is still recovering.

Tsk, tsk... Looks to me like the daddy is outside playing in the dirt in his nice school clothes. I know his mother taught him better!
