First Hair Cut!

We took the kids to get their hair cut today. It was Jeriah's first time getting his hair cut by someone other than me, and it was Lukas' first time ever. The look on Jeriah's face here is the same look he had the entire time the lady was cutting his hair. She kept commenting on how good he was to stay so still, but I think he stayed that still because he was so out of his element that he had no clue what else to do. But she was so impressed with him that he got a little cup full of peanut M & M's.

Then it was Lukas' turn and he did much better than I thought he would. He just had this look on his face like "I don't have a clue what is going on, but alright, I'll be good." He kept turning his head so we told her to go ahead and use the clippers on the side. He tried really hard to be brave, and very nearly succeeded until she brought out different clippers for his sideburns and neck. Those clippers very nearly made Jeriah break his vow of stillness when she first turned them on. They sound horrible. Loud and obnoxious, and evidently too scary for Lukas to handle. So, he cried and lunged for me to get him away from what was happening all around his head. But she was able to get finished pretty quick and then it was all done! Yipee!
I must say that I think I have the two most handsome boys in the entire world. But, I guess that's a given. I am a little biased.

My dad and I both think that Lukas's face, when he was getting his hair-cut, makes him look almost exactly like Aunt Kotryna. I can't wait until I finally get to see them one day. I love your blog and, my cousins are so adorable. I wish you could see all the action going on in Florida. I have decided to follow the instructions on your blog to make my own. ~Makenzie
