One year old!!

We celebrated Lukas's first birthday yesterday, for the second time. Over Thanksgiving we celebrated it with the entire family, but we felt an intimate setting closer to his actual birthday was also in order. We made cake and got him a present. He's now officially one year old!

Before the cake came, he was pretty content.

Blowing out the candle scared him silly...

But he got the hang of this cake thing pretty quick.

After cake came the opening of his present. We had a good time trying to help him figure out how to open his present, but he just wouldn't tear the paper. He didn't get it, and lost interest after a couple of minutes. We did finally get it open and I think he likes what he got...
