Everything my kids do is amazing to me. Jeriah is picking up new words every single day and says those words more correctly than he did yesterday. Lukas is doing what one year olds do best, making sure he is in whatever room everyone else is in and getting in the middle of things, much to the dismay of his older brother at times, and sometimes mother, too. But the adorable and lovable card is played so much and so well that all I can do is oogle at him and make the gushy cooing sounds that mothers make to their babies.
Today's Comedic Drama

Lukas didn't pay the slightest attention to this screaming rant directed at him and continued irritating his brother further by picking up a toy and playing with it like he planned on being there all day.
"LUKAS!! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!" The incoherent screaming started, and I took that as my cue to go disengage one of my sons. When I got there, Jeriah was facing toward Lukas but had hold of his baby through the slats of his crib because he had been in the act of laying the poor sleep deprived thing down. I calmly picked Lukas up and told Jeriah it was all right, everything is fine, and his baby will get to sleep just fine whether we are in there or not. Jeriah calmed down and then continued his naptime routine with his baby like nothing had happened. Then, finally, laid his baby down, came out of the room, quietly closed the door, and came up to me with an 'i'm so proud of myself' look and said, "Time for baby wake up!" Then walked right back into his room to get the poor thing out of bed.
I just had to laugh.

Funny story. I'm glad things are better. Sometimes it just takes a little venting to make it feel a little better even though nothing has changed. I'm sad we'll miss you while your in town. Hopefully we'll cross paths on the way back and see each other for a little. Happy Thanksgiving!
